Leadership exCHANGE is proud to announce its second annual Women as Change Agents Program. On March 8th (International Women’s Day), 16 students and 4 professors from 5 different countries (Mexico, Panama, USA, Australia, and Colombia) arrived for the program. The program is proudly co-hosted by the University of Monterrey Mexico and the United Nations Information Centre Panama.
The program brings female leaders from around the world together for an intensive spring break program centered on the theme: Women as Change Agents. The program works with the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Panama City in order to focus on UN Millennium Development Goal #3: Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women.
Through specially designed classes, workshops, and simulations participants explore: the key theories and models of successful and innovative change; pressing problems that plague women today; women’s leadership; and how women can be effective change agents. The program is open to female university students from around the world. This year’s program is organized with delegations of students from the following universities: University of Monterrey Mexico (UDEM), Griffith University Australia, Tarleton University Texas, Arizona University, Townson University Maryland, Mounty Mercy University Iowa, and Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua Panama (USMA).
Not only will these women be interacting with one another to learn more about Women’s Leadership topics, but they will also be posting to this blog space to share with all of our GLP fans!!!
